This project began with the removal of a deteriorating, outdated prefab fireplace that had become unsafe for continued use. After tearing out the old factory-built unit, we installed a freestanding wood stove with a custom-built hearth and a heat-reflective fire wall. The custom hearth provides a strong, durable base for the stove, while the fire wall reflects heat back into the room, improving heat distribution and allowing the space to warm more efficiently. This transformation not only improved heating performance but also created a clean, attractive focal point for the home.
